A Japanese Haircut for Damo...

For some reason, I decided that it was time for a Japanese haircut.
Luckily for me, I had my friend Liz there to help out.
This is the look ("vision"?) that I believe she had in mind.


Fortunately, however, the hairdresser laughed when she saw that picture.
In fact, given that my hair was only a few cm long, I think she was wondering why I actually wanted it to be cut. No self-respecting Japanese boy would have his hair less than at least 5cm long. Here is my scary "before" shot.

"Climbing Bandai-san" (or: "The Five-Coloured-Lakes")

Last weekend, Andy and I set off to climb Bandai-san. And ended up NOT climbing it. But we went to the 五色沼 (Five-Coloured-Lakes) instead... apparently blue, blue, blue, blue and green are five different colours in Japanese.
